MY STORY

I have always been a connector.  Growing up in a military family, we moved a lot. From a young age I learned the importance of reaching out if I wanted to make friends, and I discovered that most people appreciate a chance to connect.

In my professional life, I work to bring together businesspeople, entrepreneurs, engineers, and scientists from the private and public sectors.  It’s my mission to connect good people around good ideas and a shared vision.

In 2021, I had a serious bike accident.  I broke my neck and suffered a serious brain trauma as a result.   It was thought that I might never fully recover and I had to commit to nearly 9 months of difficult rehabilitation. During that time, I found myself increasingly distressed by the political and social discord seeping into family discussions and fueling serious conflict between friends and neighbors.  I thought back on my upbringing, one of 6 kids with 2 working parents – there was no shortage of opinions, we had our share of heated dinner table debates, and, like all families, we had to work through serious differences and tough times.

So, how had it come to this in America, where we could no longer debate, or even discuss, without hating each other?   It seemed to me that we had lost sight of our fundamental connection to each other as brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, friends, and neighbors.  I told myself, that if I could get through my rehab and make a strong recovery, that I would do everything in my power to help regain this lost connection. I would put my professional experience as a connector to work, helping Americans to unit around shared hopes and dreams. So, Bridging Hearts & Minds was born…

About Us

Bridging Hearts & Minds (BH&M) is dedicated to the purpose of traveling the USA and showing that we're more similar than we are dissimilar. Why is there so much infighting in our country when we all want the same things - security & and safety; A roof over our heads; food on the table; a good education for our kids; freedom to live as we wish; an ability to speak freely, be seen and be respected. BH&M is committed to providing the platforms and bridges for all of us to come together.
